It’s award season and celebs are working out like mad to get Ready Carpet Reading in time for the Golden Globes on January 17th.  Celeb nutritionist Christine Avanti and Fitness magazine contributor Ashley Koff gave some secret tips to Fitness magazine and how celebs whip themselves into shape quick.

Ashley Koff says that the first thing you can do to prep for an event is eat every 3 hours, one serving of carbs, protein and healthy fat for energy. If you’re still hungry snack on veggies.

Days before the event switch to a nutrient rich liquid diet (this doesn’t mean diet soda and coffee) such as a smoothie made with coconut water, protein powder, veggie juice or low sodium soup.

To avoid bloat so you don’t have to pull on a Spanx Christine Avanti (author of Skinny Chicks Don’t Eat Salads) says to avoid salt as much as possible. If you eat something salty then eat something with potassium since that flushes out the sodium.

If you want to workout before an event to tone up do an hour of cardio everyday like running, plus yoga. Christine says the twisting, bending and sweating releases toxins that make you gain weight.
